The mission of Project Open Arms for NYC Public Schools is to coordinate efforts of all divisions in NYCPS to support our newest New Yorkers successfully.

If you are an immigrant caregiver (including a parent, a legal guardian, a legal custodian, or other relative) who is worried that you may be separated from your child because of immigration enforcement, get help to plan for the future. Click the link to view the informational flyer.

Immigrant parents who are worried that they may be separated from their child because of an immigration action, such as an arrest, detention, or deportation, should consider making a plan now for the future care and custody of their children. There are several tools for parents. Parents should consult with an attorney to discuss their needs.
