Please note that in light of recent events, D30’s President Council with the support of D30 Superintendent, Dr. Composto, are asking schools to participate in National Gun Violence Awareness Day this upcoming Friday, June 3rd.
Today, we were able to have a presentation via zoom for parents on how to properly communicate with their children in an age appropriate manner. We have emailed that presentation to all families. The meeting was also translated in Spanish and Arabic.
We will be providing resources from today’s meeting to families via email and on our school’s website at ps151q.com.
We are asking to have all students, teachers and staff wear ORANGE as a show of solidarity for the families and victims in Uvalde, Texas.
We will join the nation in a brief moment of silence for the victims and their families on Friday, June 3rd.
With the help of the Parent Association, we will be tying orange ribbons around the fences of the school to show awareness/support for this day.
